JAN. – MAY | MONTHLY MEN’S BREAKFAST DISCUSSIONS
Dates: Jan. 22, Feb.12, Mar. 12, Apr. 9, May 14
Time: 7:30-9 AM
Some meetings may be held via Zoom. Please contact Dan Bryant ([email protected]) for details about the format and if you have questions. For Zoom calls, please feel free to enjoy your breakfast and coffee while we meet via Zoom. For in-person meetings, we plan to gather in the Grace Fellowship Hall from 7:30 – 9 AM to enjoy breakfast, fellowship and teaching.
For our discussions we will be using Craig Troxel’s book, With All Your Heart: Orienting Your Mind, Desires, and Will Toward Christ. Copies of the book are available on the bookshelf (instructions are posted) in the foyer area at Grace or feel free to order your own copy online. About the book, Sinclair Ferguson writes:
Craig Troxel’s With All Your Heart represents the mature fruit of a gifted intellect combined with tested and tried spiritual wisdom, both of which have been well honed by decades of pastoral experience. Every reader will benefit from its comprehensively biblical foundations, its spiritual insights, and its challenging as well as mind-clarifying expositions—all packaged in a way that is eminently readable. Asking the question ‘How many books have I read on the heart?’ (and probably answering it with ‘Very few’ or ‘None at all’) underlines both the importance of these pages and the extent to which we may have marginalized something the Bible sees as central. Here is a book to be welcomed enthusiastically, to be read carefully, and to be returned to frequently as a significant resource for Christian thinking and living.
While we encourage you to get the book and to read the chapters so you can gain maximum benefit from our time together, you do not need to have read the readings in order to participate. All men of Grace are welcome, as are your teenage sons. We hope you can join us!
