Dan Clifford, Pastor

Dan Clifford first came to Grace Presbyterian Church as a pastoral intern, and the congregation called him as Associate Pastor in 2004, and then as Pastor in 2007.

A native of California, Pastor Clifford grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, and was blessed to be raised in a Christian home.  He began his college education at Cedarville College in Ohio for two years before returning to the west coast to finish his degree, graduating with a B.S. in civil engineering from U.C. Berkeley in 1995.  Shortly after graduating from university, Pastor Clifford was introduced to the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, becoming first a member and then a ruling elder at Covenant OPC in Berkeley.

While pursuing a career in civil engineering, Dan began to sense a call to the pastoral ministry.  He moved to Philadelphia and began attending Westminster Theological Seminary in 1999.  During his time as a student, he served local churches as a ministerial assistant and pastoral intern.  Also during this time, he met his wife Kelli, who was pursuing a M.A. degree in religion at Westminster.  They were married in 2002 and Dan graduated with an M.Div. degree in 2003.  Dan and Kelli are blessed with three children.

Dan enjoys his pastoral work, especially preaching, prayer, and visiting.  When not busy with ministry, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  His interests include jazz and classical music, reading theology and classic works of fiction, and spending time in the outdoors.
